Get Snacking with these 10 Healthy Ideas

Do you feel that your breakfasts, lunches and dinners are full of all the good stuff (mostly!) but when it comes to healthy snacks, you let things slide? Maybe you grab a sugary muesli bar or some over processed crackers in between meetings at work or before the school run in the afternoon. Even though these snacks are often low calorie, they are packed full of sugar and not much nutrients leaving you feeling hungry shortly after eating them.

Here are some awesome snack ideas that are sure to keep your cravings at bay during the work week or make the perfect addition to a summer BBQ with friends.

1. Lime & Coconut Slice

Love something a little sweet? You’re going to die for these deliciously tangy and creamy cocktail inspired treats. The two hero ingredients lime and coconut in this slice recipe work perfectly together to create something that’ll certainly wow your guests!


2. Quick Guacamole

Make this super quick guacamole to enjoy as a snack with veggies or some organic corn chips. Roughly mash a couple of ripe avocados with a good squeeze of lime juice, a handful of coriander or parsley, some finely chopped red onion and tomato and a pinch of cayenne pepper (if you’re up for it!)


3. Smashed Pea and Mint Bruschetta




Move over smashed avo, there’s a new green on the scene! This super simple recipe is literally just peas, mint and a couple of added extras for taste and consistency. This great fresh snack recipe is perfect on some crackers or at a dinner party on some yummy fresh sourdough.


Cacao Avocado Mousse
Looking for something a bit indulgent? Create a decadent chocolate mousse by combining 1/2 avocado, 1 tbsp cacao, 1 tbsp maple syrup, pinch of cinnamon and pinch of salt in a blender. Carrot Cake Bites



Energy balls are an awesome snack on the go (and a favourite with the kids!) We love this yummy recipe for healthy carrot cake balls that will keep you feeling full while tackling those sweet cravings head on.
